Blog: How I Google Verified My Business

Whew! This has been a long journey to get here, but we made it!

I know many of you reading this, have been struggling to achieve Google Verification for your business. So, I wanted to share with you how I did it. I cannot say that there is a secret shortcut to get this done. However, I can show with you the roadmap I used to get there.  I hope this helps you and I look forward to hearing about your success.

FYI, my name is Gerardo and I am the founder of ViaAvione.com Travel Agency. Also, I hold a Computer Science Degree, and have been in the tech business for 30 years. In addition, I have been trained at the Google Headquarters in London, UK on several occasions. So, I was familiar with how their maps systems works.

After several unsuccessful attempts to Google Verify my business with the traditional method. I thought, “Ok, when the going gets tough, the tough get going”!  So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work!  My strategy was not to take the easy route, but to go around the mountain. And, this is what I did:

  1. Start a WordPress site (Free plug)
  2. Purchase adequate service space to support a WP site.
  3. Why, because I needed to upload many tracking and verification codes.
  4. Build WP Site ViaAvione.com
  5. Activate Google Gmail Account
  6. Activate Google Analytics
  7. Activate Google Tag Manager
  8. Activate Google Search Console
  9. Activate Google Ads Pay-Per-Click Advertising.
  10. Activate Google YouTube
  11. Connect them all together (FYI, not everything connects together. But, Google knows you are there.)
  12. Upload Tracking and Verification Codes to my website server.
  13. Upload Personal Identification documents to Google Gmail Account.
  14. Upload Personal Identification documents to Google YouTube Account.
  15. Once everything is working wait a few days to ensure the data is following through.
  16. Next, I began filming and uploading YouTube videos daily. (As of this publishing date, I have 30 YouTube Videos Live.
  17. Carry on for 30 days of Video Publishing and Google Analytics Data flow
  18. Next go to Google Business Profile Help https://support.google.com/business/
  19. Submit a Support Ticket with ALL the requested information.
  20. For me, this included uploading my Identification for a 3rd time and uploading my LLC Limited-Liability-Company Documentation.
  21. Wait a week and keep on uploading YouTube videos and have traffic flow your website. Google Analytics sees this.
  22. Reply to any Google Tech Support enquiries with your Email Signature.
  23. Wait another week.
  24. And Viola’! Magic You’re Google Verified!
  25. Take a coffee break.

You see friends, it’s that easy. In just 25 simple steps, you too can have your business verified.  I hope helps this helps you and your business succeed.
